Woman hospitalised after Serpentine horse incident

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after she fell from her horse near Serpentine on Monday.

The RAC Rescue chopper was called to the scene around midday to transport the woman to Royal Perth Hospital.

The woman, in her 20s, was found conscious and breathing with suspected spinal injuries.

A spokesman from St John Ambulance said her injuries were non life-threatening.

He said the incident was caused after her horse became spooked.

An ambulance from Kwinana also attended the scene.
