Queen’s Royal Windsor Horse Show: Thrills and giggles as rider falls of horse | Royal | News

Edward and Sophie Wessex and their daughter Lady Louise Windsor, 13, all held their hands over their mouths as the drama unfolded in the main arena.

Luckily the rider wasn’t seriously hurt.

The Wessexes were joined at the annual equestrian event by the Queen and Prince Philip and Peter and Autumn Phillips, whose daughters Savannah, six, and Isla, five, played on some of the rides.

The royal sisters had great fun taking on the climbing wall. Strapped into harnesses, they scaled the temporary structure, smiling and waving to their parents waiting below.

Savannah, who was wearing a blue patterned jumpsuit and brown suede cowboy boots, proudly showed off a glitter tattoo on her arm.

Their mother Autumn, 39, didn’t miss out on the fun either, visiting gypsy Margaret Rose Lee for a palm reading.

Another star attraction at the Queen’s favourite horse show was Frankie Dettori’s son Rocco, who followed in his jockey father’s footsteps by competing in the Shetland Pony Grand National, coming a respectable second.
