The Chimaera (George)
9 year old (DOB: 22 January 2008), 16.2hh bay Warmblood (Kinnordy Gymbello out of an Urban mare) gelding.
George has three lovely paces, coupled with a kind and generous nature. He has a lovely soft and responsive contact (eggbutt snaffle and cavesson only). He loves to please and tries his very best each and every time.
George started his competitive life in October 2015 and has many successes to his name, including placings at the recent South Island Dressage Championships. This season he competed at Levels Two and Three with the potential to go much higher.
George is also a dream champion paced and mannered horse from minimal A&P outings. His front legs are not entirely straight and he does have two splints. This rules him out as a serious showing prospect but certainly does not stop him from getting his boogey on in the dressage arena!
George is excellent to shoe and handle, very good to clip (albeit a tad touchy around his ears), self loads and is lovely to handle at competitions. He is still a little green when hacking out (nothing a bit more experience won’t fix).
George has a lovely shape over a fence but has not been jumped since being broken in. This is solely due to rider focus not being on jumping at this time.
George is currently being brought back into light work after being out for three months (due to rider injury which has nothing to do with him). This is reflected in his price.
This is a genuine sale due to his rider being over-committed.
